An incident was reported in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, on Monday night, when a group of Israeli settlers entered the village and burned a number of olive trees belonging to residents.

Based on information from local sources, the incident took place in the Al-Hadab area, west of the village, which is located close to a settlement. Olive trees in the surrounding area were reportedly damaged by the fire.

Despite the rain, the fire continued to spread and burned the trees. This condition indicates the suspected use of flammable materials, posing a potential risk to residents' buildings located near the scene.

The village of Burqa is one of a number of villages and towns in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh area that have recently reported similar incidents. The recorded incidents include the burning of agricultural land and destruction of property, which has impacted the continuity of residents' activities and land ownership.

Meanwhile, data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission shows that throughout November there were 2,144 incidents involving Israeli forces and settlers. Of these, 1,523 incidents were linked to Israeli military activities, while the other 621 incidents involved settlers.

In terms of region, Ramallah and Al-Bireh recorded the highest number of incidents with 360 cases. Other areas that also recorded significant numbers include Hebron with 348 incidents, Bethlehem with 342 incidents, and Nablus with 334 incidents.
