Two Palestinian children were killed in an Israeli drone strike on Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to medical sources. Witnesses said the drone dropped a bomb on a group of civilians near al-Farabi School on Saturday morning, fatally injuring two brothers, Juma and Fadi Tamer Abu Assi. They were taken to Nasser Medical Complex with critical injuries but later died.

The strike occurred in an area beyond the “Yellow Line,” the redeployment boundary Israel agreed to respect under the ceasefire that took effect on October 10. Despite this arrangement, Israeli forces carried out several attacks across Gaza on Saturday, including ground, naval, and aerial operations.

Medical teams reported three Palestinians injured in al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, following artillery and air bombardment. Additional Israeli air raids targeted the Tuffah neighbourhood in Gaza City, while more strikes hit eastern Rafah in southern Gaza.

These attacks came just one day after Nasser Medical Complex announced that another Palestinian had been killed by an Israeli drone in the same town, also beyond the Yellow Line. The repeated strikes highlight what local authorities say are ongoing violations of the ceasefire.

Since October 2023, Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed nearly 70,000 Palestinians mostly women and children and injured more than 170,000. Hamas has urged the international community to pressure Israel to abide by the truce, as violations continue despite the formal agreement.
