Gaza Crisis Escalates: Refugees Lose Safe Haven, International Aid Blocked by Israel

The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza reported that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forced to flee their homes again due to Israeli military attacks. The GMO emphasized that central and southern Gaza, especially the al-Mawasi area, no longer had space or safe places to accommodate new refugees.

In an official statement on Thursday (9/26/2025), the GMO said that there is no more empty space or safe locations for displaced residents. This situation has forced many residents to set up emergency tents on the side of the road, which is dangerous and far from decent living standards.

The situation is worsening because humanitarian aid in the form of tents from abroad is still being prevented from entering by the Israeli military. Meanwhile, the remaining supplies in local markets are being sold at exorbitant prices, leaving many families unable to obtain protection from the heat or rain.

GMO views this situation as part of a systematic policy implemented by Israel with the support of the United States government. According to GMO, this policy exacerbates the suffering of Gaza's already vulnerable civilian population.

Through its official statement, GMO called on the international community to immediately take concrete action. They urged immediate protection for Gaza's civilians, who are currently facing an emergency situation without a safe place or basic supplies to survive.
