Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered his speech at the UN General Assembly in New York on Friday (9/26). However, the atmosphere of the session was different this time because the room was almost empty. Many country representatives chose to leave the room in protest against Israel's increasingly brutal war in Gaza, which has been going on for almost three years.

Netanyahu himself is facing intense scrutiny from the international community. He is even being sought by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. This situation added to the pressure on him as he delivered his speech at the world forum.

Outside the UN building, large protests also took place. Thousands of people gathered in Times Square, New York, to reject Netanyahu's presence at the session. The demonstrators came from various states in the United States.

The demonstration was filled with Palestinian flags and banners calling for an end to the war in Gaza. The crowd also accused Netanyahu of being responsible for the genocide of the Palestinian people, an accusation that further worsened Israel's image in the eyes of the global community.
