International media highlighted two major tragedies that shook the world: the suffering of Gaza residents after a fragile ceasefire, and the atrocities in the city of al-Fashir, Darfur. In Gaza, despite the cessation of fire, Israeli attacks continue. The Guardian tells the tragic story of Amin al-Zein, who was killed shortly after hearing the news of the ceasefire, reflecting the residents' doubts about the meaning of peace.

The New York Times questioned the morality and legality of Israeli military operations that killed many civilians, while Le Monde assessed that two years of war had brought the Middle East to the brink of war and peace. Gaza was said to be enjoying only a “fragile respite” amid widespread destruction and Israel's deepening diplomatic isolation.

In Sudan, The Washington Post reports on the atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in al-Fashir, including mass killings, hostage-taking, and violence against civilians. Several doctors were detained and only released after their families paid ransom.

The Telegraph added that thousands of residents fled to the Tawila refugee camp after the violence escalated. Many of them went missing or were killed on the way. These two tragedies show the fragility of peace and the continuing strength of human suffering in the world.
